Ways of Seeing
In November 2021 Pekarna Magdalenske Mreže started with a program titled Ways of Seeing which is in particular intended for members of different ethnic minority groups, immigrants and peoples form the territory of ex-Yugoslavia, as well as for people with physical disabilities, living in Maribor area.
Ways of Seeing is a free informal educational program, which focuses on the transfer of knowledge and skills needed for work in cultural sector. Through theory and practice, the program enables knowledge acquisition in the field of graphic design, stop animation, photo reports, podcasts, creative and critical writing, PR skills, audio and video montage, as well as the usage of tools for streaming and video projections. The program also offers active learning about contemporary art through organized visits to cultural events in Maribor.
Follow events, current activities and information in
Program, which consist from lectures, practical and theoretical workshops, and visits to cultural events, is divided in four sets:
1. SET: Ways of Seeing (January 15th – March 15th 2022)
2. SET: Ways of Creating (March 21st – June 17th 2022)
3. SET: Ways of Usage (September 5th – November 8th 2022)
4. SET: Ways of Connecting (November 14th – December 20th 2022)
The program Ways of Seeing is co-financed by Republic of Slovenia and European Union from the European Social Fund .
