May was a very reflective month. I started to feel like moving on, like changing the environment a bit. My mind started to be in the next months, applying for jobs and thinking about my life away from here. Maribor has given me a lot of beautiful experiences, but it is true that I am starting to feel a bit stuck here. Not only because of the city but because of the general environment. I like the work in Pekarna, but at the same time I feel the urge to breathe new air. It is difficult to explain because I also feel that I will miss it a lot and that it is gonna be very sad to come back home… Anyways, with all these mixtures of feelings, we were working in different events during the month. I especially appreciated a lot to be part of Palestina week, where I got the opportunity to attend really interesting events. Also, at the end of the month, Ivana and I presented the outcome of ECHO, the zine we created in collaboration with participants of the workshops during March and April, about the topic of home and homeland. It was a really nice event where we also showed Escombro/Home(land) a performance in collaboration with volunteers from Krsko. At the end of the month, I travelled a bit with my family through Slovenia, and it was really nice to connect my life here with my life in Spain. It is difficult to be thinking only in the present when you know this experience is ending, but at the same time, I am trying to enjoy this last energy here.
