Time is starting to fly by, and before I knew it, February was over. I began the month surrounded by my family, as my two sisters came to visit, and together we discovered some parts of Slovenia that truly surprised me. I visited Škocjan Caves and was amazed by the natural beauty. Then, in the middle of the month, Pust arrived, and we went to Ptuj to visit Kurenti. I enjoyed the good company and such a unique tradition. We also had a walk around the town of Ptuj, which I found absolutely beautiful. For the rest of the month, we worked on the project we'll be realising in March, figuring out how to structure the workshops and how to promote them effectively. I'm so excited about creating our own projects; I believe that's how we learn the most: by trying our best, accepting mistakes, and understanding our own expectations. The lessons with the children have continued to be a place for play, but also a place to embrace challenges and learn great things from the children. It's wonderful to find the balance between offering support and providing a safe space for play and understanding. That’s why we've combined some physical games with writing exercises, and one day we had a batik workshop to teach them other ways of painting in a funny way. I truly believe in the importance of these weekly meetings for the children. During February, I also spent a lot of time at the OBRAT - a space for art and participation, invigilating the new exhibition, and I enjoyed noticing the small details.
At the end of the month, we received some great news: a project we had written for an open call had been accepted! Now we have to dedicate our time and energy to develop it by the end of April. With all this, the days are starting to get busier, but since these are things that motivate me, I see it in a positivelight. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything turns out in the coming months!
