New month, new adventure. February has come. As a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps program we had the opportunity to go on a four-day midterm training in Bohinjska Bistrica. Over there we reflected on our volunteering experience so far and gained new skills through workshops with our coordinators. On the final day, we had the opportunity to explore beautiful nature and go to a few different waterfalls. On our way back I was lucky to see mother deer and small deer searching for food.
I saw this midterm training as a chance to reconnect with other volunteers, get some ideas, and create plans for the future.
During February I had 2 visits in Maribor. One was from my friends and one was from my girlfriend. That was good because I will go back home in 2 months. During those days we were exploring the city and one of those was National culture day in Slovenia so we had the opportunity to visit multiple museums. Besides that I visited a few exhibitions and concerts around Maribor. In Slovenia people are celebrating the end of the winter and all around the country people are celebrating it by wearing different costumes. I felt like it was an extended Christmas celebration.
