In tak to stari v Čatežu, ne?

The beginning of this month started on a good hedonistic note as we were expecting to go to Čatež which is a luxurious complex with warm natural spring waters that is used to supply the pools and the jacuzzis. We were also to have three meals a day with all you can eat buffet and lots of coffee breaks a day which was really nice.

The purpose was not solely to enjoy and spoil ourselves. This all was part of a training program for all the ESC volunteers in Slovenia. The training activities were long but as boring as expected. The only thing that was really annoying me was the constant reminding that we are in a “safe space”, whatever that means. I suppose that it refers that we won't be challenged in any way mentally or physically which to me sounds absurd as the only way to grow or think productively in any way is to activate our selves thoughts that we disagree with or provoke us. But hey, that's just my take on things.

Apart from the learning and activities and alcohol and the state of being hungover was not uncommon and so the whole experience seemed like a foggy mist.

It was time to return home which was not an easy feat considering the inefficiency of the Slovenian train system. Upon returning to my apartment in Maribor I had some minor work to do. What I was looking forward to was the visit of my parents. I was very glad to see them as I had missed them dearly. We went sightseeing and ate a lot in some restaurants. It was difficult to say goodbye once again.

I also finally bought a bass. I've been searching for a good bass in my price range for a year now and finally bought it. It was nice to conclude the month with a bass.
