Another month passed

Last month was really good. At the beginning of the month, we had Asja Trost’s exhibition opening in Obrat gallery. I loved the concept that she developed and was really glad to meet the artist in person.

In the following week, Pekarna was hosting the “Forward on Urban Youth Volunteering” international meeting where we had the chance to meet a lot of people from North Macedonia, Serbia, Greece and Romania.

Most interesting thing for me that happened this month was definitely the Palestine support protest that Pekarna Magdalenske mreže organized. My task was taking photos, which was a really interesting thing to do in a big crowd with banners. Following the protest, Pekarna organized an event where we discussed the situation in Palestine with palestinian refugees. Even though it was hard to process all the new information, I found it really important for everyone to know how much innocent civilians suffer in the modern world.

On a happier note, we were sent to Zreče to participate in our on arrival training, which was really nice to experience. Nature was extremely beautiful, but on the other side we also had an opportunity to relax in the spa. The best thing that I found in Zreče were ducks that were really friendly and used to humans, which gave me the opportunity to take some cool photos.

In conclusion, I met a lot of new people this month, which only makes me happier and more motivated to work more while I’m here.
